Sound Generation

All the Sound Generation objects have a frequency and glide control. Glide, also called portamento, determines how quickly the frequency changes to a new value.

[mm-waves~] – waveform generator can produce sine, triangle, square, sawtooth and noise waves.

[mm-pwm~] – Pulse Width Modulation synthesis. Pulse Shape determines with pulse width, far left is a short pulse, half way will create a square wave, etc.

[mm-fm~] – Frequency Modulation synthesis. Ratio determines the ratio between the modulation frequency and the carrier frequency. Integer values produce more pure tones while in between can produce more varied timbres. Index determines how wide the modulation frequency sweeps the carrier.

[mm-pluck~] – Karplus-Strong plucked string model. This produces a synthesized plucked string sound. Send a bang to pluck. Decay determines how long the sound lasts. Brightness controls a low-pass filter which effects the timbre.
